At 65 ft and 34 tonnes, this Alan Mason designed steel gaff rigged topsail schooner is more like a small ship than a large yacht.
She's believed to be one of only six built. Her current owner, a shipwright, has lavished two years' work on the keel and hull, which surveyed satisfactorily in 2019.
He has had the masts renovated and commissioned a stainless steel fitting that enables the bowsprit to be removed when marina berthed.
Previous owners have spent over £200,000 on renovations - her beautiful flush teak deck must have accounted for a lot of that.
On account of the engineering works, it is estimated her Beta engine has done less than 100 hours since installation.
Beyond her saloon, the interior need extensive refurbishment and she needs a nav equipment fit-out so that this remarkable vessel can achieve her possible potential as an ocean cruiser, a training school ship, a unique live aboard or a charter boat. These are just some of the opportunities that may be awaiting the next owner of this classic schooner.
